Our Commitment to Community
GigsMarket is built on a foundation of respect, professionalism, and trust. These Community Standards define the behavior we expect from every member of our marketplace — buyers, sellers, and visitors alike. By using GigsMarket, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Respectful Communication
- Treat all users with courtesy and professionalism in messages, reviews, and interactions.
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, and personal attacks are strictly prohibited.
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.
- Do not spam other users with unsolicited messages, promotions, or offers unrelated to existing orders.
2. Honest & Accurate Information
- Provide truthful information in your profile, gig descriptions, and communications.
- Do not misrepresent your skills, experience, qualifications, or portfolio.
- Sellers must accurately represent what their gig includes — including scope, timeline, and deliverables.
- Buyers must provide clear and honest requirements for their projects.
3. Quality & Delivery Standards
- Sellers must deliver work that meets or exceeds the quality described in their gig.
- Work must be original and not plagiarized or copied from other sources.
- Deliveries must meet agreed-upon deadlines. Chronic lateness may result in account restrictions.
- Buyers should provide timely feedback and reasonable revision requests within the agreed scope.
4. Prohibited Services & Content
The following services and content are strictly prohibited on GigsMarket:
- Illegal products or services under any applicable law.
- Academic dishonesty (writing essays, taking exams, completing assignments for others).
- Fake reviews, followers, likes, or any form of artificial engagement.
- Hacking, cracking, phishing, or any service that compromises security systems.
- Adult content, sexually explicit material, or escort services.
- Weapons, drugs, controlled substances, or related paraphernalia.
- Gambling services, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing.
- Medical advice, prescriptions, or health services that require professional licensing.
- Services that promote hate, violence, or discrimination.
- Any service that violates third-party terms of service (e.g., selling social media accounts).
5. Fair Reviews & Ratings
- Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience with the order.
- Do not offer or accept payment or incentives in exchange for positive reviews.
- Do not post fake, misleading, or retaliatory reviews.
- Sellers may not pressure buyers to leave 5-star reviews or withhold deliverables to influence ratings.
- Buyers may not threaten negative reviews to demand work outside the original scope.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other users' information.
- Do not share personal contact information before an order is placed.
- Sellers must protect buyer data and may not use it for purposes beyond completing the order.
- Do not publicly share private communications without the other party's consent.
7. Enforcement
Violations of our Community Standards may result in:
- Warning and educational guidance for first-time minor violations.
- Temporary account restriction or suspension for repeated or moderate violations.
- Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations.
- Withholding of funds for fraudulent activity.
- Reporting to law enforcement when required.
